Gown Tips!

Thank you for selecting Celebrations Bridal and Tux for your gown.
Here are a few tips to assist in providing you with the best service possible!

  • Orders for gowns should be made as soon as the event date has been finalized. But, as a rule of thumb for bridal gowns you should have your order completed no later than twelve to sixteen weeks before the event. Attendant gowns should be ordered no later than eight to twelve weeks before the event.
  • Gown sizes differ from everyday women's wear sizes. Only a specialist should measure ALL participants.
  • If you are looking for gowns for a group you should first use our FREE registration service by consulting with one of our sales associates. The registration will insure that all members of your party know what items have been selected for the event. Registration consists of identifying the specific individuals and all of the items each will wear. At the time of registration you will also need to know the date of the wedding. If individuals from your group are out of town, we can provide you with post cards to document their measurements.
  • Gown orders can only be made after the measurements and deposits (non-refundable) have been received for all members of the group. All gowns must be ordered at the same time to insure dye lot consistency. The deposit is applied to the total sale price. Make sure if you have out of town participants, that enough time is allowed for mailing.
  • Measurements are done on an appointment basis only. Make sure each individual knows the bride's name, wedding date and brings their deposit.

More Gown Tips!

  • Each individual will be notified when their gown has arrived. At that time an appointment must be made for the gown fitting. The balance of the sale price is due.
  • For each fitting the undergarments and shoes being used must be worn.
  • Fittings will require 30 to 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the gown. Fittings should be scheduled without bringing children to the store. During the time of your fitting you MUST have someone available to care for your children should you find it necessary to bring them.
  • Group fittings will not be scheduled.
  • Final fittings must be completed one week prior to the event.
  • Payment of each alteration is due upon completion.
